Why I'm Blogging about Fulton Homes

Because nobody at the company seems to care and I'm frustrated as all get out!

We've been renovating homes for a few years ourselves, and finally decided to buy a new house. I was so looking forward to moving into a house that was finished. No workers traipsing through, no smelly fumes and drywall dust. But our house was clearly slapped together fast when we moved in and now there are a ton of "punch list" items that need repair. We've been here about 6 weeks, and there have been workers in our house probably at least half of those days.

I understand that they might need to make repairs, but workers don't show up when they say they will, so we end up waiting around all day for nothing. Or, they show up before 8:00 a.m. unannounced wanting to get in to do work. Worst of all, none of them clean up after themselves, and it seems like for every item they fix, they break something else.

So I'm going to document my experience! Maybe it will make me feel better.

These guys have some nerve!

This is rich! We just got a letter from someone higher up at Fulton Homes notifying us that all of our 30-day items are done. They haven't even finished half of the repairs we put on our 30-day list! The communication between people at this company is atrocious. (Or they're just *trying* to piss us off.)

Now we have to waste our time writing back to them, and documenting everything that isn't actually complete.
